‘A Letter from an Irish Expat’ hilariously depicts the struggles Burke faces faces as he adjusts to living in London. Writing to the “ladz,” he explains how people don’t understand his use of the word ‘grand,’ why he doesn’t trust the Guinness, and why he pretends to be nonchalant around potatoes.

Sometimes it's hard to be an Irish immigrant, other times being an Irish expat is simply comical!

Irish comedian Seán Burke made a brilliant YouTube video on what it’s like to be an Irishman living abroad.

"A Letter from an Irish Expat" hilariously depicts the struggles Burke faces as he adjusts to living in London. Writing to the “ladz,” he explains how people don’t understand his use of the word ‘grand,’ why he doesn’t trust the Guinness, and why he pretends to be nonchalant around potatoes.

We're sure there are many other ways that Irish immigrants have changed themselves slightly just so they were able to fit in. If you have any examples, make sure to tell us about them in the comments section below.

What was the hardest thing about your experience of being an Irish person living abroad? Can you relate to Burke's experience?
