Sarah Alberione, of Quincy, is performing in Boston Ballet’s production of Mikko Nissinen’s TheNutcracker in the role of “Lamb”.

Sarah has been a student at Boston Ballet School for six years. This timeless classic is presented by State Street Corporation, and will run from November 28-December 31, 2013 at the Boston Opera House.

Sarah is a pupil at the Wollaston Elementary School and this will be her first year performing in the Nutcracker. She is very excited and thrilled to have been given a role in this wonderful holiday production. As well as taking classes at the Boston Ballet School twice a week, she also takes Modern Dance classes there on Saturdays too.

“We are always on the go” says her mother Oonagh Connolly. “She dances everywhere, and if she is not dancing, she is playing the piano or painting. I am so delighted that we have found the Boston Ballet School for Sarah. It is a truly wonderful environment with excellent teachers and a fantastic classical program.”

Sarah joins nearly 250 other young dancers from around New England cast in The Nutcracker. Three different casts will take on various roles, such as toy soldiers, pages, reindeer, lambs, polichinelles, baby mice, and party children during Boston Ballet's 43 performances of The Nutcracker.

Boston Ballet School is the largest ballet school in North America now operating studios in Boston, Newton, and Marblehead and other programs throughout New England. Over 10,000 students participate in Boston Ballet School’s year-round, summer, adult, and outreach programs each year.

All performances of The Nutcracker will take place at The Boston Opera House, November 28 –December 31, 2014. For more information, please visit: www.bostonballet.org.
