General Manager

The General Manager will report to the Founding Member and work collaboratively with key stakeholders and staff to lead the transformation of the business from its current state to a more modern organization capable of delivering on its goals. The General Manager will oversee strategic and operational aspects of the business, including advertising sales, digital marketing, website optimization, technology development, and budgeting and financial reporting. The General Manager will initially place an emphasis on the following:

1. Structuring the sales team to enhance and expand current advertising efforts, including deepening existing client relationships and targeting new advertising verticals; the candidate should possess deep industry expertise and relationships and be able to mentor others

2. Overseeing the digital marketing efforts to drive new and repeat readers to the Irish Central website, focusing on optimizing the Irish Central website for traffic generation and ad placement; implementing social, mobile, and email strategies; and creating an online video monetization plan

3. Evaluating and managing the direction and impact of long-term strategic planning, including the introduction of new revenue streams, overall growth strategies, and technological enhancements

4. Providing strategic financial decision making on issues affecting the business, including assessing and reporting on the company’s P&L performance

Advertising Sales Executive or Sales Agency

The primary responsibility of the Advertising Sales Executive (or Advertising Sales Agency) is to drive and grow new business revenue from advertisers and their agencies by aligning their marketing objectives with Irish Central’s niche and highly engaged audience. This position is a client-facing sales role that requires deep industry knowledge, a broad and deep set of relationships (e.g., in areas such as liquors and beverages), and a proven ability to close digital advertising sales. The right candidate is aggressive, creative, and resourceful and must enjoy working in a highly entrepreneurial environment.

The position requires outstanding sales and communication skills to develop and maintain advertising relationships.
