Brooklyn-born Anita Daly, a key player in marketing Irish music and culture, is the founder and president of Daly Communications. Daly's career background includes working in the late 1980s and early 1990s with major entertainment organizations. She was vice president of sales for the New Music Seminar. She then became vice president of sales for the Foundation Forum's Heavy Metal Convention and the Billboard annual video awards both based in Los Angeles.
Daly co-founded Intercultural Niche Strategies (INS) in 1996. INS's client list included the soundtrack from Riverdance, Andrea Bocelli, Sarah Brightman, the Chieftains, Phil Coulter, James Galway, the Irish Tenors, Black 47, the Saw Doctors, Mark Anthony and many more.
In 2003, Daly launched Daly Communications, a niche marketing company that thrives in its ability to market Irish and Celtic music and culture in the U.S.
People on Daly Communications' artist roster have included Finbarr Furey, Van Morrison, the Chieftains and Michael Flatley's Celtic Tiger, Ronan Tynan, Red Hurley, the High Kings, Enter the Haggis, the Corrs and Kitty Sullivan. She has also represented the PBS phenomenon Celtic Woman including the national tour and the DVD and CD, and repped for the Pogues U.S. reunion tour three years in a row.
Daly, whose father's side of the family descends from Co. Cork, is a member of the Irish Business Organization (IBO) and the American Irish Media Group (AIM). She is also the founding member of Women in Music. She graduated from the Pratt Institute with a master's in fine arts.
