Irish Business Organization (IBO) 2007 Woman of the Year Anne Tarrant was born in Tralee, Co. Kerry. She attended Galway RTC and studied business administration before immigrating to the United States. Tarrant is now the president of APT Associates, a business consulting company founded in 1992 and based in Rutherford, New Jersey.
Initially concentrating on event management services, the company has since expanded to include market research, business consultancy, administrative services and property management.
The APT client list includes UNICEF Ireland, Golden Trailer Awards, Fianna Fail, the Fitzpatrick Hotel Group, the Saw Doctors, Enterprise Ireland, Masonite Ireland and the North American Celtic Buyers Association.
Tarrant is a member of various Irish organizations in the U.S., including the IBO of New York, the Emerald Isle Immigration Center and the North American Celtic Buyers Association.
The married mother of one tells the Irish Voice that she is "fiercely proud" of her Irish heritage, evenmore so now than when she first immigrated, and has a "deep appreciation of the culture and the people."
