SIOBAIN Ryan is a buyer for QVC, one of the largest multimedia retailers in the world through its own cable channel and website, www.qvc.com.
Though born in the U.S., Ryan lived in Ireland for 15 years when she was growing up, and attended the Bronwyn Conroy School in Dublin. Her parents are natives of counties Clare and Limerick. Ryan travels to Ireland four times a year and still has many immediate relatives there.
“My mother and father worked tirelessly to create a life for themselves and our family. While they exposed our family to a life in the U.S., we were also very much an Irish family at heart. Ultimately, after 20 years in the States my parents returned back to their true roots in Ireland, along with their five children,” Ryan recalls.
“Both of my sisters are married and settled in Ireland and the rest of my siblings and I travel back and forth as often as time will permit. We are always called back to the beauty, history, culture and people we love in our beloved country of Ireland.”
Through her position at QVC, Ryan works closely with Irish clients. “I very much enjoy the fact that I have the opportunity in business to consistently work with the outstanding business men and women of Ireland, as we exposure the QVC customer to the rich heritage of Ireland and its people,” she says.
“The people of Ireland are passionate and hardworking and are dedicated not only to their own success, but to the success of others. They approach life with a true passion for living and a creative spirit that allows them to embrace whatever challenges come their way in a positive, friendly, can-do manner.”
