FLORENCE Quinn is the president of Quinn & Co., an award winning, New York City-based public relations agency that specializes in food, wine and spirits, real estate and travel.

The firm ranks among the top 10 PR firms and among the top 15 professional services (including real estate) public relations companies in the U.S., according to O’Dwyer’s PR rankings.

“Operating in the forefront of an evolving communications landscape, we practice integrated PR to help clients achieve their marketing and business goals,” says Quinn.

Quinn’s grandfather was born and raised in Kinsale, Co. Cork with 11 siblings.  She will soon make her first visit to Ireland as a cousin is organizing a family trip.
Quinn’s Irish heritage is vital to her existence, she says.

“It is who I am as passed down to me by my father and especially my grandfather who taught us Irish songs, ditties, while bouncing us on his knee or carrying us on his broad shoulders,” she offers.

“I love the Irish lilt of my great aunts. I am a product of Irish guilt and Roman Catholic guilt.  I grew up with the pageantry of the church.

“My Irish heritage is poetry. It is a love of life, and a love of something that is larger than life. I wouldn’t be who I am without it, and I am proud of it.”
Quinn is married and has two children, a son, Maxwell, and a stepson, Spencer.
