McCabe, Bernadette
BERNADETTE McCabe is director of business strategy at Screenvision, a leader in cinema advertising representing over 15,000 movie theater screens in the U.S. She specifically oversees the long-term deal structures for the company’s over 150 exhibitor partners, and has worked there since 2005.
Prior to joining the media and entertainment field McCabe, a native New Yorker, worked in financial services, beginning her career as a research associate at W.P. Stewart Asset Management in New York and Sustainable Growth Advisers in Stamford.
McCabe earned a BA in international studies, art history and Italian studies from Fairfield University and the Lorenzo de’Medici Institute in Florence, Italy. Her parents, John and Bernadette, are natives of Gortletteragh, Co. Leitrim, and McCabe spent her childhood summers in Tooman, Co. Leitrim living on the farm where her mother was raised. She is still a frequent visitor to Ireland.
McCabe is a patron of the American Ireland Fund’s New York Young Leaders program. She is also a mentor with the U.S.-Northern Ireland Mentorship Program, a one-year work program for residents of Northern Ireland to gain experience in a corporation in the U.S.
“My Irish heritage has instilled in me a great love, respect and admiration for friends and family, as well as a strong work ethic,” says McCabe.
Wedding planning is also top of McCabe’s list these days. She is engaged to be married on October 1 to William Searfoss Kelly, with whom she has traveled to Ireland.
