Fee, Kathleen
Lead singer, co-founder and songwriter with the popular Celtic-pop musical group Celtic Cross, and vice chair on the board of directors for the Irish American Cultural Institute in New Jersey, Kathleen Fee is involved with various Irish organizations that support Irish culture and heritage.
A first generation Irish American, Fee’s mother hails from Longford, and her father from Mayo. Fee spent most of her summers in Ireland as a child, and goes back to Ireland a few times every year.
Married with four sons, Kevin, Ciaran, Ryan, and Dylan, Fee ensures the torch of Irish heritage is passed on to her sons, who are part of the Woodlawn School of Irish Music.
“It’s like a duty, to make sure we instill in them all the appreciation and knowledge of the great Irish heritage and music, and make sure they know how important it is to pass it to their children like my parents did for us,” says Fee.
Fee and her husband Kevin are patrons of the American Ireland Fund, and she is a member of Comhaltas Ceoltoiri Eireann.
