IONA Technologies

Chris Horn is vice chairman of the board and co-founder of IONA Technologies Dublin, Ireland.

Horn received his Ph.D. in Computer Science in 1983. From 1984 until 1994, he was a lecturer in the Computer Science Department at Trinity College, Dublin, where he was involved in many pan-European IT research projects. He also worked in Brussels for the European Commission, and was an integral part of the ten-year "Esprit" program designed to improve the continent's technology industry.

Horn is vice president of the chartered engineering body in Ireland, Engineers Ireland. He is currently the non executive chairman of UNICEF Ireland.

Another list of Irish Americans is Women of Influence, which honors the women in the non-profits, the for-profits, arts, culture and small businesses who have achieved success in the U.S. The Legal 100 is a list of Irish Americans who are lawyers across the U.S. These Irish Americans share a passion for the law and pride in their heritage. Finally, Technology Leaders is a list of Irish Americans who combine cutting-edge technology with Irish network skills.
