Ryan, Cornelius

Cornelius T. Ryan (Neil) is the co-founder of Oxford Partners and is the only partner involved in all previous Oxford funds. Neil is a Special Limited Founding Partner of Oxford Bioscience III and a General Partner of Oxford Bioscience I and II. He implemented Oxford’s earlier strategy as a traditional technology venture firm and in 1990, co-founded Oxford Bioscience Partners with a vision to transition Oxford into its current position as one of the pre-eminent venture firms focusing on Genomics, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, Healthcare and Medical Devices. Ryan co-founded and was President of Randolph Computer Corporation (RCC) and was President of the General Telephone and Electronics (GTE) New Venture Corporation as well as Senior Vice President of Corporate Development and Strategic Planning, and Senior Consultant at Arthur D. Little, Inc. Ryan is actively involved as a trustee of the Norwalk Hospital Foundation Board, which is affiliated with Yale University, and serves as an advisor to Drug Royalty, a Toronto based company. Ryan received his BA from the University of Ottawa, Canada and his MBA (Honors) from the Wharton Graduate School of Business. Born in The Bronx, NY, Ryan is a first generation Irish American, whose parents came from Leitrim and Tipperary. He resides in Connecticut.
