Kevin O’Neill is the Director, Pharmaceutical Operations at Alkermes, Inc, is a fully integrated biotechnology company committed to developing innovative medicines to improve patients' lives. Alkermes developed, manufactures and commercializes VIVITROL for alcohol dependence and manufactures RISPERDAL, CONSTA for schizophrenia and bipolar I disorder. Alkermes' robust pipeline includes extended-release injectable and oral products for the treatment of prevalent, chronic diseases, such as central nervous system disorders, addiction and diabetes. Headquartered in Waltham, Massachusetts, with over 600 employees, Alkermes has a research facility in Massachusetts and a commercial manufacturing facility in Ohio. A graduate of Towson University, Maryland and Webster University, St. Louis Missouri, O’Neill is a Lieutenant Colonel in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard where he serves as the Public Affairs Officer for the 28th Infantry Division. A second generation Irish American, O’Neill’s grandparents came from Tyrone & Cork. O’Neill is married to Erin Colleen and they have two children. They believe their Irish heritage is an important part of who they are. O’Neill’s career plan for the future is to continue to develop in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry where he can help to bring innovative life-changing medications to patients. With a strong interest in the central nervous system areas, O’Neill hopes to apply his knowledge to help match important medical advancements with patients in need of innovative therapies.
