Dennis P. O’Brien is the President of Meridian Medical Technologies, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of King Pharmacueticals, Inc. Headquartered in  Columbia, Maryland,  Meridian Medical Technologies, Inc. is a pharmaceutical business which delivers acute care solutions by merging drugs with auto-injector technology.  Auto-injectors are pre-filled, pen like devices which allow a patient or caregiver to inject a precise drug dosage quickly, easily, safely and reliably. These devices are a convenient way to deliver drugs in an acute care situation. Meridian pioneered the auto injector many years ago. The most widely known product is the Epipen®, an auto-injector filled with epinephrine for the emergency treatment of anaphylaxis resulting from severe allergic reactions and other conditions. Prior to joining Meridien, O’Brien was CFO at Ogden Energy and Environmental Services, Inc.  A second generation Irish American, O’Brien’s
Grandparents hailed from Counties Clare and Galway. O’Brien’s immediate career goal is to continue to advance the Meridian business towards providing enhanced acute care pharmaceutical products which improve the lives of not only patients but their caregivers. O’Brien resides in Silver Spring, Maryland, with wife Catherine and their two children.
