Mongan, Nigel

Nigel Mongan is an Assistant Research Professor of Pharmacology at Weill Cornell Medical College, NY and Associate Professor of Cancer Biology at The University of Nottingham, UK. Weill Cornell Medical College is located in the Upper Eastside of Manhattan. The Ivy League medical school has over 1000 faculty/research teams engaged in biomedical research, and has established a medical school in Qatar. The University of Nottingham, a member of the Russell Group of research intensive universities, is an internationally recognized center of research excellence. Mongan was born in Galway, and is a graduate of The University of Cambridge, Queens’ College and National University of Ireland, Galway. His plans for the future are to continue translational cancer research projects at Weill Cornell and Nottingham with the goal of improving patient care and outcomes, as well as to promote formal collaborative research and training programs in oncology between teams in Ireland and at Weill Cornell and the University of Nottingham. Mongan is married to Olga, and they have one son, Will. They live in New York City.
