Sean McDonald is President and CEO of Precision Therapeutics in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Precision Therapeutics, a life science company and leader in the development of innovative technology, develops and delivers personalized diagnostics to physicians with the goal of supporting and optimizing difficult treatment decisions for patients with cancer. Previously, McDonald founded Automated Healthcare in 1992, developing the first robotics-based solution to hospital pharmacy management. McKesson appointed him Group President over several operating companies where he produced annualized revenues in excess of $300 million. Mr. McDonald recently served on the board of Respironics as Chairman of the Comp and Audit committee and is currently Chairman of the Board of Aethon, a venture capital backed company developing autonomous robotics for the healthcare market.  McDonald is Chairman Emeritus of the Pittsburgh Technology Council and as board member of the Pittsburgh Regional Health Initiative Board. McDonald was selected as one of five Tech 50 2009 leaders for innovation in the life science industry in the Pittsburgh region, and led Precision Therapeutics to be named one of INC. Magazine’s top fastest growing healthcare companies in 2009.
