Martin, Paul
Dr. Paul Martin is currently Professor of Medicine and Chief of the Division of Hepatology at the University of Miami. A native of Dublin, he graduated with honors from medical school at University College Dublin, National University of Ireland. After initial training in Dublin in Internal Medicine he completed his training at the University of Alberta in Internal Medicine. Martin then completed Gastroenterology training at Queen’s University, Ontario Canada and was subsequently a Medical Staff Fellow in the Liver Unit at the National Institutes of Health. Dr. Martin has published over 200 peer reviewed papers, editorials, reviews and book chapters as well as editing several books. He received a Doctorate from the National University of Ireland based on published work. He has served on the National Board of the American Liver Foundation and as Chairperson of the Education Committee for the American Society of Transplant. In addition to the American College of Physicians he is also a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Dublin, London and Canada.
