Ita Lynch is Health Advisor with Realizing Rights and a Board member of Cork Cancer Research Center. Realizing Rights was founded by former President of Ireland, with a goal of putting human rights at the centre of aspects of globalization, including the right to health. Lynch graduated from University College Cork School of Medicine and worked in general practice in Cork for several years prior to moving to the USA. Her plan for the future is to continue serving as Board member of Cork Cancer Research Center, and she hopes to continue to support innovations in science and technology, with particular focus on Ireland-US connections. Lynch was born in Templemore, Co. Tipperary, and now resides in Westport, Connecticut with husband MacDara, fellow honoree. They have three children and two grandchildren.
