Scanlon, Thomas
A PARTNER at Collins & Scanlon LLP in Cleveland, Thomas J. Scanlon was admitted to the Ohio Bar nearly 50 years ago after graduating from the Cleveland–Marshall College of Law.
He and partner Tim Collins built a highly successful law practice which has for 30 years represented business organizations, their managers and their families in Northeastern Ohio. Scanlon also currently serves as a master commissioner of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio Panel on foreclosures.
A native of Cleveland, Scanlon graduated from John Carroll University and Cleveland-Marshall College of Law where he was on the board of editors of the Cleveland-Marshall Law Review.
He has also contributed enormously to charitable and community organizations in Cleveland. He has worked with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, the DePaul Children Services, the Cleveland Pop Orchestra and the Greater Cleveland Sports Commission.
A member of the Irish Catholic Lawyers Guild, the Ancient Order of Hibernians and the Irish American Archives Society, Scanlon actively embraces his Irish heritage. His great grandparents were natives of Co. Mayo.
Scanlon is married with four daughters.
