Power Jr, Joseph A.
JOSEPH A. Power, Jr. is the president of Power Rogers & Smith, P.C. in Chicago.
A member of the Illinois, Chicago, and American bar associations, Power has been named the Citizen of the Year by the City Club of Chicago, and awarded the Medal of Merit from the Illinois Bar Association. He also received the Medal of Excellence from Loyola University School of Law.
Power is also a member of the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association, the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, and the Trial Lawyers for Public Justice.
Power holds Irish citizenship. His paternal family is from Co. Waterford and his maternal family from Co. Limerick. He celebrates his Irish heritage in being a member of both the Irish Fellowship Club and the Celtic Legal Society.
Power graduated with high honors in government and international relations from the University of Notre Dame. He received a JD from Loyola University School of Law, where is also a lecturer.
Married with four children, in 2002 Power was named one of the “30 Tough Lawyers” by Chicago Magazine. Those listed are, according to the magazine, attorneys you want “for you, not against you.”
