Phelan, John

JOHN Phelan is a solo practitioner in New York with over 15 years experience devoted to a client base of police officers, firefighters, Irish contractors and first time home buyers.
After spending the first part of his career as a trial attorney litigating cases in all New York courts, Phelan opened his own office in 2001.  Fulfilling a dream of having his own practice and giving back to the Irish community he grew up in, his practice primarily centers around real estate.
As the son of Irish immigrants from Waterford, he's the first attorney in the family and prides himself on staying connected to his Irish roots.
Phelan played Gaelic football at Gaelic Park from the age of five through his thirties with the New York Rangers.  As a New York all-star Phelan played in some of the great stadiums in Ireland, including Croke Park two times.
Phelan lives in Ridgefield, Connecticut with his wife Sharon and their three children, Sean, Claire and Leah. He has managed to share his love for Gaelic football as all three kids play football in New York.
