DR. KATHLEEN W. McNicholas is a cardiothoracic surgeon and the medical director for performance, improvement and surgical utilization management at the Christiana Care Health System in Newark, Delaware.
McNicholas received a BS from Chestnut Hill College in Philadelphia, an MD from Jefferson Medical College (doing residency in cardiac surgery at Columbia Presbyterian in New York), and a JD from the Widener University School of Law in Wilmington, Delaware.
McNicholas is a member of the Widener University School of Law Board overseers and the school’s Health Care Institute.
She is the author or co-author of numerous professional publications on general, cardiothoracic and pediatric cardiovascular surgical topics.
She traces her Irish ancestry to Co. Mayo.
