George F. Mahoney, III, a founding member of Mahoney, Silverman, & Cross, LLC in Joliet, Illinois, focuses his practice on zoning and land development, government and municipal law, litigation and appellate practice.

Mahoney is a member of the Will County and Illinois State Bar Associations, and was elected and served as Will County Bar president in 1984.

He is also the treasurer of the board of directors of the Illinois Institute of Continuing Legal Education, and the vice president on the board of directors of the Illinois Bar Foundation.

Mahoney has been listed as a 2005, 2006, and 2007 Super Lawyer in Chicago Magazine, and in the Outstanding Lawyers of America and the Leading Lawyers Network of Illinois. Married with two children, Mahoney graduated from Lewis University and received a JD from DePaul University.

Mahoney is a fourth generation Irish American with family from Co. Cork.

He is a member of the Irish Society of Will County.
