Having more than 30 years of trial experience, Thomas Kilbane is a partner at Squire, Sanders & Dempsey in Cleveland. He specializes in antitrust, contract, construction and securities cases.

The author of Litigating Highly Technical, Multi-Party Commercial Disputes: An Inside Look at Defending a Securities Lawsuit, Kilbane is a fellow of the International Academy of Trial Lawyers, the American College of Trial Lawyers and the American Bar Foundation.

Kilbane’s father was born in Co. Mayo and came to the U.S. when he was six years old. Kilbane’s wife is also Irish American, and he maintains Irish citizenship, as well as four out of five of his children. He has visited Ireland many times and has represented the Bank of Ireland in connection with potential litigation in the U.S.

Kilbane graduated magna cum laude from John Carroll University and received a JD from Northwestern University.
