Dennis J. Kenny is the retired senior vice president and general counsel of Transamerica Leasing in Purchase, New York. Kenny helped to build the world’s largest leasing company of intramodal transportation equipment.

A native of White Plains, New York, Kenny earned a BA from Fordham College and a JD from Fordham Law School.

After graduation he worked as an associate at a firm in upstate Rochester, New York. In the sixties he traveled to Selma Alabama to represent civil rights workers.

Kenny eventually returned to New York City as the vice president and general counsel of Interway Corporation, where he also served on the board of directors.

Kenny has served on the boards of several other companies including TDK, USA and on the board of numerous charitable organizations including the Elizabeth Seton Pediatric Hospital.

He is an active member of the Irish community and returns to Ireland almost every year. He is a regular attendee at the Friendly Sons of St. Patrick dinner in New York.

Kenny and his wife Judy have three children.
