Thomas J. Goodwin is a partner in the New Jersey-based firm McCarter & English, LLP. He practices in the areas of commercial, franchise and distribution, employment, tax, environmental and probate litigation, commercial real estate, unfair competition and restrictive covenants.

Goodwin earned a BS from Fordham University and a JD from Fordham.

Goodwin is a member of the American, New Jersey and New York Bar Associations as well as the Association of the Bar of the City of New York, the Federal Bar of the State of New Jersey, and the International Franchise Association.

Born and raised in Dublin, Goodwin is a member of the Ireland-U.S. Council as well as the Emerald Golf Society. He played for the Shamrock Soccer Club in the 1970s, and is a member of the Fordham University Athletic Hall of Fame.

Goodwin is married with three grown children, Ernie, Brendan and Jennifer.
