Maureen Ellen Dwyer is the managing partner at the Washington, D.C. office of Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman, LLP. Her specialization is in planning, zoning, municipal affairs and historic preservation.  A particular emphasis of her work is in representing private colleges and universities in the D.C. area.

Dwyer has been listed in the Who’s Who of American Lawyers from 2004 to 2008 and recognized in The Legal Times as a “Leading Lawyer” in real estate in the land use practice area from 2007 to 2009.

Dwyer is a member and past president of the Commercial Real Estate Women of Washington, a member of the American Bar Association, and the Women’s Bar Association. She also does a great deal of pro bono work for organizations such as Samaritan Inns, Jubilee Housing, Building Bridges, and the Salvation Army.

A mother of two, Dwyer is a graduate of Smith College.  She received a JD from the Catholic University of America’s Columbus School of Law.

Dwyer traces her Irish roots to Co. Cork.
