Crotty, Judge Paul A.
JUDGE Paul A. Crotty is a U.S. district judge at the U.S. District Courthouse (SDNY) in New York.
Crotty received a BA from the University of Notre Dame, and an LL.B from Cornell Law School.
Crotty was an associate at Donovan, Leisure, Newton & Irvine from 1969-’76, and a partner from 1976-’84 and 1988-’93. He was nominated by President George W. Bush to his current post on February 14, 2005.
All four of Crotty’s grandparents emigrated from Co. Clare at the turn of the 20th century, and moved to Buffalo, Crotty’s hometown.
Crotty is a member of the American Irish Historical Society in New York, and the Friendly Sons of St. Patrick.
