Coffey, John P.
John P. Coffey is a partner at Berger & Grossman LLP in New York. With a wide range of skills garnered from working as a commissioned officer in the U.S. Navy, to the personal military aide to Vice President George H.W. Bush, to an adjunct professor of law at Fordham University, Coffey now works as a court-appointed lead counsel representing various investors.
Coffey graduated form the U.S. Naval Academy with a BS in ocean engineering, and received a JD from Georgetown University Law Center, where he graduated magna cum laude.
He is a member of the Federal Bar Council, the American Bar Association, the Association of the Bar of the City of New York, the American Association for Justice and the Public Justice Foundation. He is also a member of the board of directors of the Community Fund of Bronxville, Eastchester, Tuckahoe, Inc., in Westchester.
Coffey is married with three children, and a member of the Eastchester Irish American Society. He is a first generation Irish American, with the majority of his relatives hailing from Co. Cork.
