The CEOs Dennis O’Brien, Anne Mulcahy and Tom Moran, pictured above with Concern Worldwide’s CEO Tom Arnold (far right), span the spectrum of public service from charity work to political activism.
 
The effects of Tom Moran’s work can be seen from Northern Ireland to Ethiopia. Known in the corporate world as a savvy businessman—he is the chairman, president and CEO of Mutual of America – he is also chairman of Concern Worldwide (U.S.), dedicated to serving the poorest people throughout the world.
 
Anne Mulcahy, Chairman and CEO of Xerox was honored by Concern at its annual Seeds of Hope dinner in December, and made a $250,000 donation on behalf of Xerox to Concern’s “Innovative Solutions Award,” a new initiative to find creative ways to combat poverty. Mulcahy, who was born in Rockville Centre, New York, is a second-generation Irish-American with roots in Counties Cavan and Mayo. 
Irish businessman Dennis O’Brien heads up Digicel Limited, which has more than six million mobile phone subscribers in the Caribbean and around the world. O’Brien has lent his considerable heft to such causes as the Special Olympics and serves on the board of Concern Worldwide.
