From Friel to Joyce and everything in between, Fionnula Flanagan has worked extensively as an actress in every medium from theater to film to television.

Tony nominated and an Emmy winner, the fluent Irish speaker has never forgotten where she comes from and is a frequent supporter of all things Irish.

A television regular on NBC’s addictive hit "Lost "in addition to her ongoing memorable role as Rose Caffee in Showtime’s "Brotherhood," Flanagan can still mix it up on the big screen, playing a scene stealing neighbor to Jim Carrey’s "Yes Man" in 2008.

Now a great-grandmother, when she isn’t filming, Flanagan is focused on writing. She told Irish America recently, “I’m developing a script with a writer, not Irish, totally Americana.”
