Two Irish chefs have teamed up to share their homegrown culinary skills with the world via YouTube.
Both qualified chefs and lifelong friends, Brendan O’Neill and Bryan Cleary will share their cooking traditions and methods with the world via the Internet.
O’Neill says that that one of the biggest problems facing the Irish food industry today is the emergence of young chefs who are not full trained.
Cleary admits the training process he went through was extensive.
“When I served my apprenticeship, it was a six year gig. Then I began to see chefs being churned out into the industry after 16 weeks, and they were calling themselves chefs. From six years to 16 weeks?” he said.
With their combined expertise and talent, the two chefs plan to create a website that will help train young chefs in the basics of food preparation.
