I WAS brokenhearted when we read the Irish Voice recent ìIreland’s Eyeî story about the little donkey who was badly beaten and had to be put to sleep.

It’s a disgrace that the country yokels in Limerick let these monsters get away with this. They should all be rounded up and whipped along with the stupid farmers that throw horses and donkeys out on the roads to fend for themselves.

Most country people in Ireland are brought up in an ignorant way and are very cold. Any parents that gave birth to those monsters should give them a good whipping.

What are the police doing? They should work harder to catch these monsters.

We don’t need these drunks and druggies in society. I hope they burn in hell.  I am ashamed to say I am Irish.

As a resident in Ireland living in a country-farming village I can gurantee you we are far from ignorant or cold. My grandson son of a farmer has his own little farm i.e pigs, chickens, cows, lambs and 5 adorable collies he loves his animals, so much so he wanted them all indoors during the snow, he did manage to get his 2 pigs into beds which were destroyed, when he first got his chickens any eggs they laid were promptly cracked open to look for babys. He is only 5, but his Dad is bringing him up to have respect for all animals. I think Eileen that ignorence is alive and kicking in N.J. where you reside I am very proud to be Irish and don't wish to be associated with Irish people with your horrible views of my countrymen. Yes what happened was awful but how dare you tar us all with the one brush.
Jaysus Eileen...go easy on the sause there... before you say something constructive.
