It is always shocking and upsetting when the very people that are suppose to protect the vulnerable abdicate their responsibility and become self-serving. We need more participation from the workers in their unions and true democratic elections in unions. Until the unions become truly "unions" this type of power and corruption will arise. It is a shame it is someone who probably started with nothing

Unions built this country and made sure that each and every member made a decent living for their famililes. Unions are good. It is the prevailing greed in this country that is the kink. Are these men really Irish or just posing as such and are really British to keep trying to give the true, good, honest, hard working Irish a bad rap. PS: There are NO unions in Communist countries. If indeed there are Communists countries, they are all greed also.

I still say that some of the greatest people i have had the pleasure of meeting were union BUT also their
some of dirty and most corrupt people on earth.

As Chief Steward for our Shop in Pittsburgh, I am shocked at the level of corruption. In my experience corruption at this level is usually nonunion.
