However, O’Connor plans to go back for a little over a week next year with her friend Jason McGimpsey and explore the land of her grandmother.

“That’s really important to me,” she said. “I’m really looking forward to that trip.”

As our interview came to a close I asked Rob if Hef was anywhere in the mansion. He was! Upstairs in his sleeping quarters.

He normally doesn’t rise till after 11 a.m., at which time he joins O’Connor in her office to run through the day’s business.

We left the Mansion that day feeling excited but also proud that an Irish American woman is part of the reason Hef is so successful, grounded and so full of devilment.

How refreshing to hear that at her age she is gainfully employed, now I have a new respect for Mr. Heffner, that he is not like the rest of America and discriminates against older workers.

Great story. Despite what some people say, Heff must be a pretty good guy since she has worked for him so long. Also, he was the original saver of the Hollywood sign along with Alice Cooper.

What a delightful article. I've always enjoyed Mary's presence on the "Girls Next Door" and now I know much more about her - thank you! As for the F-150 - you should be hooked on them by now - I just bought a 1987 F-150 XLT Lariat 4x2 - here in the Nevada desert a truck is a must!
