Just think, if the Celtic Tiger never collapsed, and had it created real and lasting prosperity for the country, there would be a growing clamour from the Nationalists to rejoin with the South, that the Unionists would find difficult to keep finding excuses to reject out of hand. It is because of the Republic's sudden impoverishment that there will be no United Ireland in the next 50 years.
Dublin has gone off the deep end ! Bythebay: Yer,point is weell taken. It`s Dublin`s Fault ! A Left Midnded Democratic Republic at Belfast could set aside Her differences in the name of National Brotherhood. But Money is thicker than Blood, now isnt It @z!
There is no demand for a border poll because everyone knows the result and that Northern Ireland would vote to remain part of the UK alongside Scotland, Wales & England. The common ground is devolution and self determination for Northern Ireland having it`s own NI Assembly.
