Towngate--yet another prediction by you which turns out to be as mindless as its author. Today Dana confirmed she is getting right back into the race. And two of my contacts in Ireland tell me they'll be voting for her, because she is the only candidate who says Boo to the EU!
people don't realize that Dev, was England's Greatest Spy the brilliant orator who unleashed the Irish Civil War. DeValera was born in the United States and is of a Converso Cuban and Irish servant hanky panky.
Y A W N !
I predict she will soon withdraw her candidacy for health reasons! - and classically:'to spend more time with her family'; (well, some of them, anyway!) Bye-Bye, Dana! X X "Thank you for the mus-ic ~ but forget the pol-i-tics"!
De Valera had a similar problem. He couldn't get shot at Kilmainham because of citizenship issues. The only reason any tie to America lifts a brow is because we are really sgort of Loyalists here (we have a dozen). Why blame all of us though? It was the Ulster Irish that started the problems for George III.
Is this about American citenship? or her Catholic Faith?
Where's the birth certificate!? :)
I live in Ireland, and will vote in the Presidential election. Unlike what your correspondents are alleging people in Ireland are not concerned with the fact Rosemary has american citizenship. However the media became interested as to why she attempted to conceal it. Virtually everyone here has American relatives, and do remember DeValera was born in the Unite States.
