What a lovely story!
@AliceBernadette Unfortunately there is an element in the US that has been criticizing President Obama ad nauseum since before the election and spends a lot of their time online spewing all sorts of irrational, hate filled garbage and right wing talking points on any article that contains the name "Obama". They seem to have nearly taken over this site. Just remember, they are a vocal, yet small minority of Americans. The majority of us are very proud to call him our president!

It seems Barack is held in high esteem in most of the Western world except by quite a few Americans. I think Barack and Michelle are a lovely couple. They would get a great welcome if they came to Australia.

They didn't get it right. With the fawning admiration the Irish have shown the Poser-in-Chief his christening name should correctly be "John 'Barack the Messiah' Nolan." Gimme a break! Despite all our pleading you folks in Ireland failed to keep him...away from us.
