No mention of the protests in the US opposing the visit by Irish-Americans. Someone would think this website has an agenda....
Well done from Dublin to those out protesting against this visit. While Britain holds one inch of Irish soil she should not be welcomed.

quietman fails to see that many poor Scots, Welsh and English also suffered during that time - it was the European aristocracy not `the english`...and to blame an 85 year old woman for 800 years of history is just plain silly - the irish often fought on the side of the King, for example they raised an army to fight for the king of england against oliver cromwells enlishg republicans / parliamentarians - cromwell exacted revenge on Irish Catholics a few years later

baloney, after 800 hundred years of abuse, this loser the queen still won't apoligse.my relatives had to leave ireland during the famine just to live, as the english practiced genocide. I will never forget my grand-parents stories. ERIN FOR EVER.
