Hero NYPD cop who survived bullet wound to head wants back on force

Wishing him a speedy recovery and a distinguished career. And here's to the day when no thin blue line is needed between he have's and have not's. I am reminded of a comment attributed to a retiring member of the NYPD many years ago: "We're really just garbage disposal officers. If society wants different, they'll just have to change their diet." Aficionado/a's of laissez-faire capitalism please take note. DISTRIBUTIVE JUSTICE NOW!
