You know you can't use your US driving licenses in Ireland if you're permanent residents here? You'll need to follow the new rules for getting Irish driving licenses, very different and more stringent than when you left 12 years ago.
Best of luck to you and your family ... an Irish American who first arrived here, way backin 1957 -- lot younger then -- I too with my family returned to live in Ireland for some years ... really enjoyed it ... wrote my novel while there. Tell me a littley about Irish Center Communbity News ... you will be writing for it from your Irish location? ... GREAT!!!. Again, best wishes Ray Geaney, author of "The Irish Honest Liar" available on Kindle and Nook.
Thought this was a nice article until I started seriously questioning if you had any sense at all. Can't believe you said or even admitted saying that "Ian Paisley" was cute. Physical looks aside (as beauty is in the eye of the beholder), the man said Irish "catholics breed like rabbits & multiple like vermin". He is quoted as saying "This Romish man of sin is now in Hell!" when commenting on the death of Pope John XXIII. In additiom to many other hate mongering comments. This is man with with an incredibly ugly soul. Good luck in Ireland....you lost all credibility with me.
Safe travels and good luck back in Paddys land.
Hopefully you've already looked into the schools and hospitals in Limerick, have daycare sorted and have jobs promised in Limerick as well. You'll also want to evaluate your and your husband's qualifications and might need to consider further education or qualification. Many in Ireland today have 3rd level education.
Ian Paisley is cute ?????
Good luck to you and your family, and Godspeed!
What a beautiful article. I wish you the best of luck and happiness in your move back home.
Glad you enjoyed your time here. We'll keep a couple of bar stools reserved for you on McLean Ave. Safe travels, and say hi to Eire for us.

Glad you enjoyed our fair country. With all of our warts and shortcomings the United States of America is an incredible place. I am proud to be an American and I appreciate your appreciation of what we have here. It's not the only place, but it's a great place. You should have visited Texas while you were here. I think it's the crowned jewel, but of course I'm biased as a native Texan.
