No surprise there , Irish people are some of the most rascist i've ever met ..when you think they were discriminated themselves by the English ,one would think they would be more tolerant ...

I agree with eibhleann7. Given any oppotunity it is always the case with the blacks, destroy, loot, and fight. Look at London" I don't care that Christmas came early for me, I'm at home now whatching my plasma screen T.V. Need I say more. GOOD FOR PEGGY O'NEIL'S AND ANYONE ELSE WHO CHOOSES TO DO SO. WHITE PUNCHES BLACK= Racism...BLACK PUNCHES WHITE= Zero..You never hear a thing!!

Oh boy, what would they do if Big Papi [Hispanic, but very, very dark] showed up after the game, or Jacoby Ellsbury [handsome, but a half breed-Navaho], or even Jonathan Papelbon [who knows what he is?], or Sam Fuld [part Jewish] when the Tampa Bay Rays are in town. I thought this 'lunch counter' issue was settled a long time ago

Oh God, I thought we got past this. Sadly and unfortunately, not.

It is a shame things have to still be like this at this day and age. You have to understand the race relations in Boston to fully appreciate what is going on here. If you do not know and have never lived there, you would not understand. If you went into Mattappan or any other black community, you would be given the same treatment (if you weren't beaten within an inch of your life first). It's unfortunate, but it is they way it is. Last week there was a Urban Hip-Hop music festival in Boston...It ended with young blacks rioting in the streets and cars being set on fire. You may now understand why a bar owner might want to avoid any "trouble".

@Sirpeter-Sure if I went into my local with my trousers half mast the least I could expect is to be ridiculed and laughed at. The worst I could expect would be the patrons thinking I was inviting them to give me a legendary wedgie. Which I think they just might do. As for Muslims. I never met one I could'nt drink under the table. :)

@Antoman.You're a bit of a devil stirring up the blacks have rights too brigade.Americans want to get over all this slave owning thing and you're not helping.Saying anything racist about our coloured brothers,no matter how vague will not be tolerated by some.However feel free to say what you want about Muslims.They are the new hate group.You might even get a round of applause. ;))

That should read "not entirely sincere", of course.

Well, IF he had an OUT OF STATE license, I can understand the discrimination. The owner is well within her rights. Any other reason would do too, of course.

Sad to hear of this ..isn't it ironic that the A/G is Martha Coakley?...man's inhumanity to man...One would have hoped that this does not happen anymore..some folks cannot move forward,I guess.That's why the law against discrimination is needed...we are not there yet people!!

@Antoman
I don't know why I'm bothering with this. But anyway... To support the owners of a bar for banning black people is a sign of racism. Simple as that. You are right to point out that the "race card" is too often used in situations where it is not relevant. That is quite clearly not the case here. I suspect you are just trolling anyway. A line like "all black men that I've seen on the internet" implies either that you are not entirely insincere or that you're an idiot. I'll do you a favour and presume the former.

I have lived in two minority majority neighborhoods. Maybe i in 10 of the Afro-American and Hispanic and white kids wore their pants low. On the other hand, outside those neighborhoods, I have seen many white kids ear their pants low. Do not use a broad brush when speaking of minority youth. As for Obama, who cares? He takes care of Wall Street at everyone else's expense.
