My grandmother Josephine Dunne nee ward was 22 years dead last month, I was drawn to this site, because no-one ever knew her, she was a hard-working woman who use to cycle 8 miles to a cleaning job with her young son on the back, while her husband worked all over the country as a ston-mason. They were poor but very happy. My grandfather died in 1969 he was 72 my grandmother was only 50, she cried most days after his death, she didn't die for another 29 years. The reason I'm writing this I was privilged to have my granthmother for 27 years, and that my children remember their Nannie with the bickies as they called her. How come the ordinary person like my Nannie is not remebered. Her that worked as a cleaner until she was 78. Love you loads Nan You brought out the best in us thank you.
