In the 1960's we were staying at the great Irish house in the catskills run by the Mullan family. Mary McGonigle the wonderful singer from Ireland was appearing there. Once at breakfast she asked me if I would tape those songs like "a Mothers love is a blessing, Mother Malone ,Paddy McGinty etc. that irish Americans were always requesting and she never heard them in Ireland. A lot of us Narrowbacks got Irish culture from listening to The McNultys, Ruthie Morrissey and so many I can't remember. Would love to hear the Mcnulty music again.

This is Great! A more extensive article on the McNulty Family, with a discography, will be in the fall issue of JSAM, Journal of the Society of American Music.
