Mary Pat's blog is as interesting as her book, Galway Bay. I LOVED Galway Bay and as I read it, I was thinking that it should be made into a movie. Mary P. told me there are thoughts of a mini-series and I hope it materialises. I have been to Ireland twice and was thrilled to see Counties Clare and Cork from whence my great grandparents came. I wish I knew the exact area or the Catholic church where they belonged.
I am fascinated. My great grandparents were married in Bohola RC Church in 1863. About 1900 my namesake grandfather and my grandmother Mary Lavelle left for Philadelphia. The family continuesd to have an ownership interest in one of the three pubs in Bohola, formerly known as Roches, today known as The Country Inn.
