I don't know what George Dillon is ranting about! Chuck Feeney has made a huge and generally unrecognised contribution to Ireland and in particular its University sector. Since Ireland joined the EU we signed on to the idea of free movement of workers. Over the last decade we also welcomed many others, from Asia in particular, who have been and continue to be very welcome in Ireland. Ireland is a lot better place for not be the closed society of petty bigots it once was.

This guy deserves no award. He is abusing the Irish political process by pumping in millions into pro-Mass Immigration pressure groups who seek to thwart the desires of most Irish people--to operate a prudent and controlled immigration policy. The majority of Irish people hold a different view, but they cannot match the billionaire's unlimited funds. If you investigate the funding of the various tiny groups in Ireland that aadvocate unlimited immigration into the country, you will invariably find that the chain of shame comes to an end with Feeney. It's disgusting that a foreign billionaire sticks his nose into the affairs of a small country like Ireland. Shame on this jerk Feeney!
